1.      OFFER OF THE MONTH

The last copies of our "Paul McCartney Hamburg Fun Fair" art print by
Astrid Kirchherr will be made available this month as a true special.
If you still want to lay your hands on one of those wonderful, large-scale,
black-and-white prints – which are naturally numbered and autographed –
you will receive an Astrid-Kirchher poster on top, and all this at our
summer-special rate of  60.00 Euro plus the usual p & p charges.

Feel free to order by mail, phone, fax, or – preferably-  online from our
K&K Center-of-Beat Shop.

2.      HAMBURG: PRO DOMO

Dear customers, friends and partners,

Change has been called the most reliable constant in life, and therefore
this holds also true for this company.
Based upon economic considerations we have decided to cut business
hours at our Hamburg store in Renzel-Center in the future to Monday to
Friday from 10 am until 1 pm and from 2 pm until 6 pm. In any case, we
will remain at your service online 24/7. Thank you for your understanding.

Your  K&K Team

3.      HAMBURG: BEATLEMANIA

The new Beatles-museum "Beatlemania" is finally open.
Near the end of Reeperbahn, more precisely at number 10 Nobistor, and just
a few steps away from Beatles Square, it has first opened its doors to the
general public on 29 May. Feedback is fantastic.
On five storeys visitors may walk in the footsteps of the Fab Four daily from
10 am until 10 pm. A visit there comes highly recommended by us.
For details see their website at
www.beatlemania-hamburg.com

4.      HAMBURG: THE MYTH IS ALIVE !

From 19 June until 4 July you will be able to come face to face with another
myth here in Hamburg.
Straight from Memphis/Tennessee the Presley Museum is going to exhibit
more than 90 original items and displays from the life of the "King of Rock´n´
Roll". From his legendary Hagström guitar to his last privately owned
1974 Cadillac Fleetwood with the "1-ELVIS" license plates.

On 19 June at 3pm and 5 pm, coinciding with the openeing of that exhibition,
there will be live appearances by "Shelvis", the Hamburg Elvis impersonator,
who will be happy to have his picture taken with his fans.

More "Shelvis"-dates:
- 19 June 2009: Elbwerk, Hamburg, One Night With (SH)ELVIS.
Support are singer/guitarist JASON FOLEY and a fantastic
CHER-imitation who not only looks like Cher, but sings like the original, too!

- in the night from 26 June and 27 June 2009: Queen Calavera, Gerhardstr. 7,
Hamburg, at midnight and at 2 am.
The appearances will be separated at 1 am by a PR-gig at the Halo (Grosse
Freiheit 6) together with the Flava Dance Company, who are going to perform
their own choreography to an ELVIS-Remix:

- let us not forget the monthly ELVIS radio show "IT'S ELVIS-TIME" at
TIDE 96,0: every 4th Monday of the month, "Shelvis" presents a different
feature related to the KING from 8 – 9 pm.
On 22 June, a special is planned remembering the legendary songwriters
Leiber + Stoller..

5.      GRONAU: EXHIBITION TO BE EXTENDED

"This is the end” whispers an ecstatically aggressive Jim Morrison, seemingly
removed from this world, before the song "The End" fades out in a wild
cacophony of sound.
Just a short while later, the life of the Door's charismatic voice is destined to
end in a similarly spectacular fashion.

Since 1 March 2009, the rock’n’popmuseum has been showing their exhibition
of "The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore -  Death and Dying in Rock Music"
a survey of the way human mortality is portrayed in pop music which is pre-
dominantly known for its relaxed and life-embracing attitude.

Due to the general demand the exhibition has been extended to run until
16 August, now.

7. HOW TO FIND K&K IN HAMBURG

 photos: K&K

by car:
take "Edmund-Siemers-Allee" (passing the University main building) from Dammtor railway station in the direction of the Fernsehturm (TV-tower). Passing the Fernsehturm on "an der Verbindungsbahn", take the next right into "Papendamm". There you take the third right into "Rentzel-Center", which will lead you to the parking area.

by bus:
Take the Metrobus No. 5 (marked Niendorf/Schnelsen) from Dammtor railway station. You get off at the second stop (Grindelhof). From there you walk up "Rentzelstraße" in the direction of the Fernsehturm (TV-tower). Turn right into "Rentzel-Center" immediately behind the JET gas station until you reach the parking area.

by U-Bahn/S-Bahn:
take U2 or U3 to U-Bahnhof (underground station) "Schlump". Upon leaving the station you walk up "Schröderstiftstrasse" in the direction of the Fernsehturm (TV-Tower). Passing the "Schröderstift", you turn left into "Schröderstiftweg", at its end right into "Laufgraben", and straight on into "Rentzel-Center" until you reach the parking area.

... and finally a little tip:

Many of our fine Star-Club and Beatles Square items are not only available at our
Hamburg shop or from our online shop, but also in a number of shops in the
Hamburg harbour and Reeperbahn area.

So, if you are in Hamburg without sufficient time to visit our store, you ought to pay a visit to:

- Captain's Cabin, Bei den St. Pauli Landungsbrücken,
- Souvenirs am Michel, Krayenkamp 13,
- Musikmarkt Hamburg, Königstraße 1-3,
- Gretel und Alfons in  Große Freiheit 29,
- Café Möller on Reeperbahn /corner of Große Freiheit, or the
- Hamburg-Laden on Reeperbahn / corner of Hans-Albers-Platz.
